Rodney Beaty started officially working in healthcare in 1981 as a Respiratory Care Practitioner, but knew his path long before that. At age 14 he became CPR certified, and by age 19 was an assistant CPR instructor. Born and raised in Kern County, he completed the Primary Care Associate Program at the Stanford University School of Medicine. He then worked at a rural health clinic, also serving as the clinic’s director for more than a year. Returning to Bakersfield, he worked in industrial and cardiovascular medicine.
He joined the CBCC team in 2008 after being impressed with the strength, grace and humility of cancer patients he was seeing for their cardiac conditions. Today he works in the Radiation Oncology department. Rodney is married with six children and enjoys serving in their church, traveling, and going to car shows.
Practicing since 1998
