Kathy Jo Robb worked in critical care and emergency departments for 24 years as a Registered Nurse prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner. She attended both California State University-Fresno and Bakersfield. It was her father’s bout with lung cancer prior to nursing school that sparked her interest in oncology.
After three years in Internal Medicine as a NP, Robb joined the CBCC staff in November of 2008. She specializes in genetic counseling at CBCC as well as cancer risk assessment. In fact, in 2014, she completed an intensive course in genomic cancer risk assessment with City of Hope Hospital
Robb says she considers it a blessing to assist cancer patients and their families during their journey toward recovery. During her off time, she volunteers feeding the homeless on New Year’s Day.
