Andres Razo, MSN, FNP-C
Nurse Practitioner
A proud Bakersfield native, Andres Razo began his nursing career after earning his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from California State University, Bakersfield in 2018. His passion for oncology was deeply influenced by his mother’s breast cancer diagnosis in 2016, an experience that inspired him to dedicate his career to helping patients and families navigate similar challenges.
Following graduation, Andres gained valuable experience on the medical-surgical/oncology floor at Dignity Health Mercy Hospital Downtown before transitioning to a local oncology clinic, where he continued to grow his clinical expertise. In 2021, he returned to Dignity Health as an oncology and infusion RN at the Memorial Hospital Infusion Center, located on-site at CBCC. It was there he met his mentor, Susana Bell, who encouraged him to pursue an advanced degree and expand his role in patient care.
Motivated by that guidance, Andres returned to California State University, Bakersfield, earning his Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) in May 2025. After passing his state board exams, he joined the CBCC Medical Oncology & Hematology Department as a Nurse Practitioner in September 2025.
Outside of work, Andres enjoys traveling and exploring new destinations—his favorite adventures so far include Japan and Iceland. A devoted dog lover, he shares his home with two German Shepherds, Athena and Nala. He also enjoys hiking, camping, and spending time outdoors appreciating nature.
