Dr. Shawn Shambaugh completed his residency at Harrisburg Hospital in Pennsylvania after graduating from the University of the Caribbean, West Indies. He earned a fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Pennsylvania. Upon joining the team at Comprehensive Blood & Cancer Center, he has been essential to the development and growth of the clinic due to his sharp intellect, vast experience, and deep compassion.
Dr. Shambaugh has served on a number of boards and community organizations, including the Kern County Medical Society, the board of directors at San Joaquin Hospital and the cancer committee for both Dignity Health Mercy and Memorial Hospitals. Along with being recognized as Physician of the Year by Dignity Health Mercy & Memorial Hospitals, he is also a member of the American College of Physicians, the Medical Oncology Association of Southern California, and the Association of Northern California Oncologists.
