Zulema Garcia graduated from California State University-Bakersfield with a B.S. in Biology. She then went on to obtain a M.S. degree in Molecular Biosciences at Washington State University. After working in a laboratory for several years, Garcia decided she wanted more direct patient contact, so she obtained her MPAS degree from the University of Southern California. Upon graduating from USC, Garcia returned to her hometown of Bakersfield to help the community in which she grew up.
Garcia has largely been practicing as a Physician Assistant in emergency medicine and various clinics across Kern County. Zulema joined CBCC in 2021, and is fluent in Spanish. She is developing her practice, working with patients experiencing breast issues, such as pain, cysts, discharge, breast cancer, high lifetime risk of cancer, and genetic testing.
During her time off, she enjoys traveling, camping and hiking with her husband and dog.
